- Body solder stick: typically used to smooth the surface of vehicle bodies before it is painted. It tends to be better than body fillers for this occasion as it bonds to sheet metal better, wears better and resistant to higher temperature.
- Tinmans Solder stick: typically used in application for larger solder joint work, wiping and joining of lead pipes, heating units, radiator cores, stained glass work, cable sheaths, etc.
